About the Event

OVC Consultations on the Tribal Set-Aside from the Crime Victims Fund for Fiscal Year 2021

Facilitated by the U.S. Department of Justice’s OJP, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC)

Department will consult with tribal leaders about “tribal set-aside” funding administered by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) from the Crime Victims Fund (CVF). Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Consultations will be held in a virtual environment using a platform for video and telephone conferencing. The Department presents this paper to help guide the conversation at the Consultations by outlining issues for discussion. These consultations will include discussions about potential revisions to the interim formula and application process used in 2020. View the Framing Paperwork and Invitation to Tribal Leader's Designee's.

If you are unable to attend one of the Consultations on November 17th and 18th, we strongly encourage you to submit written comments to OVC. We will accept written comments from tribal leaders until 11:59 p.m., eastern time on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Please submit your comments by email to ovctribalsetaside@ojp.usdoj.gov. Tribes may also submit comments by first-class mail to: Office for Victims of Crime, Attn.: Katherine Darke, 810 Seventh Street, NW, Washington, DC 20531.
